Australian Business Consultancy (ABC) Program

In this program, businesses engage with student consultancy teams who, guided by an industry program leader, delve into organisational problems and develop strategic solutions. The partnership begins with an initial consultation, followed by regular engagements including a mid-project review and culminates in a final presentation where comprehensive strategies and actionable solutions are delivered. Social Impact Projects

Deakin Law Clinic

The Deakin Law Clinic provides essential legal services to the community, offering free advice and assistance in a variety of legal matters including civil disputes, criminal cases, employment issues, family law, and policy advocacy. Based in Melbourne’s CBD and at the Geelong Waterfront Campus, the clinic addresses the legal needs of individuals and organizations by connecting them with skilled law students supervised by experienced legal practitioners. This arrangement ensures that clients receive professional, well-informed legal support tailored to their unique challenges.

Bowater Business Challenge

The Deakin Bowater Business Challenge is an engaging annual event where postgraduate students tackle real-world business problems provided by industry partners. The challenge is a platform for businesses to receive innovative solutions from talented students who compete in teams. Industry partners benefit from fresh ideas on challenges such as market expansion or new product strategies, without any financial contribution, as all prizes are sponsored by the Bowater Trust. Partners collaborate with Deakin staff to define the challenge, brief students, and judge final presentations, gaining valuable insights and networking opportunities throughout the event
