Contributing to the USASBE Teaching Hub: Expanding the Reach of the BDC

We are thrilled to announce that Deakin University’s Business Development Clinic (BDC) has contributed educational resources to the USASBE Teaching Hub.

The United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) is a premier organisation dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship education through teaching, research, and practice. Their Teaching Hub is an invaluable resource for educators, offering a wealth of materials designed to enhance the teaching and learning of entrepreneurship.

Our contributions to the Teaching Hub aim to extend the impact of the core BDC model and 7 Levers Framework to other academics and institutions. We have shared a series of videos and PDFs to help educators integrate these powerful tools into their curricula:

  1. Optimising Business Impact with the 7 Levers Canvas: A Strategy MicroClass
    • This micro-class provides a comprehensive overview of the 7 Levers Framework, demonstrating how small businesses can systematically improve their profitability by focusing on seven key areas.
  2. Visualising Business Growth: The 7 Levers Canvas Quick Guide
    • A handy quick guide that visually breaks down the 7 Levers Framework, offering a clear and concise reference for students and educators.
  3. Unlocking Customer Decisions: A Deep Dive into the Purchase Journey (via The 7 Levers)
    • This resource explores the customer purchase journey, using the 7 Levers Framework to identify key touchpoints and strategies to optimise customer decisions.
  4. Understanding + Decoding the Business Model: The Dynamics of Profit and Growth
    • This resource delves into the intricacies of business models, helping students and educators alike understand the dynamics that drive profit and growth.

By sharing these resources, we aim to enhance the quality of entrepreneurship education globally, helping educators equip their students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the business world. We believe that these contributions will not only benefit the academic community but also inspire future business leaders to adopt innovative strategies for growth and success.
